[TRANSLATED] CO2 Measurement

The comment above has mentioned that we need a concrete figure of the total volume of CO2 and that we need to calculate in detail and figure out the sources and distribution of CO2. This is a great idea, yet without doubt, it will require a huge project which demands hard work of a number of researchers.

Good Points

Personally, I fully agree with Mr. Hu, China should taken so-called "Common but different" responsibility to reduce the emission of GHG. But before what we do, we need have clear pictures about How much Carbon is emitted by China, how much carbon is stored by China's forest and other ecosystem, Well, we also need to understand how much carbon is emitted by the transferred industries from other countries. And then, we can say how much responsibility China should take.

The other hand, In the Climate negotiation, the problem for China now is not whether China should reduce, but How Much China should reduce. I think from now on it is very crucial for China.

[TRANSLATED] Well Said

China should not only fight for fairness, but also take actions so as to change her destiny. Professor Hu’s attitude represents his sense of responsibility. I totally agree with him.

[TRANSLATED] The difference of opinion is prodigiouss.

It seems that there are still tremendous difference on the issue of emissions cuts within China. Perhaps the government have not yet formed a definite idea either. I hope it can make a decision as soon as possible. If you request fair play on one hand but unwilling to make any promise, the agreement would never come, and you will surely miss out the good chance.
