[TRANSLATED] Support eco-tourism

It is not fair to draw a conclusion about the eco-tourism when it hasn't become mature in China. And, we cannot disregard it for some individual cases. Every new-born thing has to experience the process of developing, adapting, and moderating. I believe that eco-tourism can be realized if we persist in quest. alice

[TRANSLATED] Eco-tourism of Xixi Wetland is very bad

A lot of residents were relocated due to the renovation of Xixi Wetland.Despite the purpose of protecting ecology and improving people's living conditions there, their living skills depending on wetland and the relationships with neighborhood had to be abandoned.According to the statement of Hangzhou municipal government,
insist that planning and design takes precedence, implement the programming strictly and nobody are allowed to disobey.Current population and units in Xixi reserve must be relocated.Building scales must be controlled and all the original farmers' houses must be pulled down ,except those rebuilt according to structures of gardens on the Yangtze Delta. On the principle of fewer but better, reconstruct and restore buildings in the light of functions and needs of sights.According to researches on the exploitation and protection of wetlands at home and abroad, original human activities shouldn't be displaced completely, because the activities such as farming and fishing are closely interdependent on the survival of many species there. For example, in Hong Kong Wetland Park, the shrimp pond is still preserved. Paddy field farming is still existing in Kwan-tu natural Wetland in Taiwan because many birds forage for food when people are cultivating and the pond is drained, and even nests for feeding little birds of gallinagos and painted snipes are hided among rice seedlings, for they need to build nests there. The original farmers' houses are of great value in humanity for eco-tourism. The main purpose of wetland park is protecting ecology and promoting environment protection. It would be proper to observe and experience eco-tourism in the development of tourism. In the program of Xixi, because of high price of admission tickets, bounding walls are used to prevent people without tickets from entering. However,it hinders many opportunities for ecology to spread.Xixi has become an artificial scenic spot. The central water area is surrounded by facilities and road traffic, which makes it hard to exchange with the outside world. In the light of landscape ecology and experiences of programming foreign wetlands,it is of vital importance to protecting the access lane of wildlife species.By all means tourist lanes cannot surround, cut,or waste habitats. The wetlands in cities play an important role in social educations. As a museum educating citizens, its ticket price must be low so that every citizen is encouraged to participate in studying frequently, besides，to spread the ideas of eco-environment and popular sciences. Compared with the wetland in Hong Kong, the design of enjoying and explaining Xixi Wetland is deficient, so are the universality and openness. The same goes for designs of low disturbance and the interact with neighborhood and feedback.

National Policies Do Count

Once we talk about promoting ecotourism in China, we should not shun from talking about national policies. If some local goverments are still blinded by maximizing short-term interests, there is still a long way to go for ecotourism. When we are talking about educating the commoners as policy-makers, we should not turn a deaf ear to some of the mal-functioning local goverments.

Quality is everything

Nowadays, with the improvement of basic living conditions, people are more and more interested in eco-tourism. However, efforts to develop eco-tourism in a sustainable manner are hampered by issues like financial interests, personal quality, availability of funds, and the level of legislation.

The problems of tourism in China

Once mentioning tourism, people naturally think of tourists from abroad. In fact, efforts are largely spent on promoting international tourism. Some places are too crowded, while at some others the facilities are not in use at all.

Incomplete rules cause chaotic management, and the right of tourists can not be protected.

Tourism depends on the development of transportation. We should firstly deal with the problems of the traffic.

Further programming is needed. Natural scenic places and cultural monuments should not be programmed together.

try!!!

no matter how beautiful our words are, the actions are the most important things and eco-tourism is a good idea, but new to most people. However, we can have a try and then we can know whether it is good or suitable for our country.

[TRANSLATED] Travel needs attitude!

This is one of my favorite slogans. You can tell during a trip when the attitude is there. So where does this attitude come from? Government and all related organizations in the tourism industry should try to cultivate it, as well as public opinion. All Chinese are making great efforts to take on such an attitude. - Adong.

[TRANSLATED] Cultural environment protection is also important

You could image the future of eco-tourism in China only referring to the current preservations of ancient buildings and civilization in China. Personally, I think the cultural and spiritual environment in urban areas is also key for ecological protection. Only the improvement of the human environment can guarantee the preservation of the ecological environment. This involves a process of improvement of attitudes. A few sentences are far from enough to make it clear.

[TRANSLATED] Excellent article

It is still too early to talk about eco-tourism in China. Travels by those who want to live western lifestyles are only treated as ways to show off in the office their taste and fashionable lifestyle. However, I choose not to travel, which is my contribution to tourism.
