[TRANSLATED] Also listen to our views

Let people from Beijing like us live primitively in Nu River. Why do we have to live like primitive inhabitants for tourists?

Professor Wang seems to want us to return to lives like monkeys, that kind of original eco-system!

[TRANSLATED] Be practical at work! Your ideas are not ours!

We must be practical at work! Don't let own your ideas replace our voice!

We, residents from the Nu River area do not give you that right! How much have you done to improve the livelihood of the people of the area? Do you have the ability to resolve our poverty? For those kids without shoes, how many pairs of shoes can you buy for them?...

Our behaviour must be practical at work and resources must be protected. But it is useless if you are blindly composing the article without any proof.

As an intellectual, you have broken away from reality! I would like to voice that: What has been mentioned in the article is based on imaginary ideas.

For instance, the article says that “due to drilling into the mountain cliffs, rock debris is strewn along the banks of the river, roads are suddenly blocked by mud-rock flows, and the river itself has turned from green to yellow” etc.

It goes without saying that those who have been to the Nu River will know that the river water is yellow during rainy season.

Great, but could have more balance

Great article - good to see some quotes from the people affected by these large projects. Would be interesting to have a bit more of the view of people who will definitely benefit from the dam - e.g. hydroplant technicians.
