"Food Waste" is not what I thought it was

However, the waste here only refers to those that decompose relatively easily, such as soybean dregs. It doesn't solve the hard-to-deal-with food waste in the majority of canteens and restaurants in China, such as leftovers. Are leftovers considered to be food waste? How is it dealt with? There was no science and technology content in the short clip (the carbon and nitrogen ratio was not mentioned) and is different from the way that I thought. In any case, students who participate in and encourage environmental protection are commendable!
