At chinadialogue, we use debate and discussion to find solutions to shared global issues. Volunteers with good language skills in both Chinese and English are a crucial part of our unique bilingual forum.
Being a volunteer at chinadialogue is flexible: our bilingual volunteers are invited to moderate and translate comments whenever they have time. It is an opportunity to practice your translation skills, increase your knowledge of climate change and environmental issues, and meet other bilingual people with similar interests.
chinadialogue currently has around 200 volunteers. They include students, teachers, journalists, researchers and linguists. You can find out more about them by joining the "chinadialogue volunteers" group on Facebook.
Shocking, really shocking. But excellent, really excellent for China.
It seems America's greatest fear and China's greatest wish has finally come to pass: China looks set to become the world-leader in solar power. So let's get going and kit out the National Development and Reform Comission building, the Great Hall of the People and Zhongnanhai [CCP headquarters] with solar panels. Then China really will be the world-leader in new sources of energy. Keep it up eco-warriors! The future is bright.

Let's install solar panels on the National Theatre!

Great Idea and Marvelous Enthusiasm
Let's not stop at White House. Let's identify 10 or 100 landmark buildings on earth and adorn them all with solar panels. Just out of curiosity, is it feasible to make solar panels more aesthetically appealing? Of course not at the expense of its cost efficiency though.
Maybe we shouldn't limit ourselves to solar panels. Why not look in the direction of windmills as well? I sure kids planning to visiting White House will be thrilled by this idea.
