To the author of the first comment; you should have written: "I don't really know", because many climate scientists do have some knowledge about what the temperature trends are likely to be for our planet. The climate science is ultimately based on some fundamental phsyics (i.e. energy and thermodynamics etc) that has been understood for at least a century. The main problem for humanity has always been the inability of individuals to appreciate the destructive implications of our industry on complex natural ecosystems. Denial is a normal human reaction prior to the arrival of a very uncomfortable but highly unusual situation. When human survival is at stake in the short-term, the response is usually either flight or fight. Unfortunately, there will be nowhere to 'flight to'.
