French activist "re-cycles" from Paris to Shanghai

Richard Julian, a French environmental engineer, is now visiting Beijing after cycling from Paris to Shanghai on a bicycle made of recycled materials.
The trip lasted 16 months and crossed 16 countries including Germany, Iran, India, Malaysia, Vietnam and finally China. The aim of the 18,600 km trip was to promote a simple ecological ways of transport and  to meet with environmental activists and local people around the world.

Richard Julian is currently in the Chinese capital Beijing and will share his impressions of his journey at the China Environment and Sustainable Development Reference and Research Centre (CESDRRC) on Tuesday July 18.
