China to establish protection zones in areas prone to sandstorms
China has set up 58 protection zones, 51,000 sq km in total, in areas vulnerable to sandstorms in north China’s Hebei Province, Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region, and Tianjin Municipality, said China’s State Environmental Protection Administration (SEPA) Vice Minister Wu Xiaoqing.
